Named a Sitecore Technology MVP for 2020

Happy to announce that I was named one of the Sitecore Technology MVP’s for 2020.

Sitecore is an amazing community, and it’s an honor to be given this distinction for a second year in a row.

Looking forward to a productive 2020 Learning, Sharing and Growing.

With User Settings for Sitecore published, here are a few things I want to focus on (to keep me accountable):

  • Few Extensions to Scriban Templates for SXA based on my Handlebar implementation: Ability to use shared templates and use the Code Editor field for editing.

  • Desktop Notifications - Want to be able to subscribe visitors for chrome desktop notifications, and send using Marketing Automation plans, Managing subscriptions with custom facets and using a Sitecore Host .net core Plugin to manage transport. (Very early stages of design)

  • Holdovers from Sitecore Foundation - Still have a few modules that could be broken off into their own projects: Video JS Player SXA component, A Composite component that supports Donut Hole Caching (think like a snippet component that can load via AJAX), and an IP White Listing Module for SXA. (So you can restrict individual sites instead of using IIS rules).

  • Data Exchange Framework Providers - Built a bunch of providers for DEF 2.0, which I want to revisit while looking at the changes in DEF 3 and 4.

Leave a comment if you have a need for or have any thoughts on any of the above.
